One of the wonderful features of Kofu City, the capital of Yamanashi Prefecture, is their abundance in commercial, natural and historical attractions. One of the places we have ventured upon cycling around the city is the Kofu City History Park Yamanote-Gomon, a historical park just about 3 minutes on foot from the station. The park sits on the left side of the Maizuro Bridge (when facing the station). The Yamanote-Gomon is one of the three entryways to the Kofu Castle. Presently, the gate has been separated from the main castle by train tracks.
